Heavy Rain Alert: The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a major warning (IMD Alert) for the next 5 days. Heavy rains are going to occur in many parts of India and hailstorms are also going to occur.
Due to the winds coming from the Bay of Bengal in central and eastern India, the weather may remain bad in the coming days. Strong winds with a speed of 30 to 50 kilometers per hour may blow along with lightning in West Bengal and Sikkim from March 20 to March 22, in Bihar and Vidarbha on March 21 and 22, in eastern Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh on March 19 to 22 and in western Madhya Pradesh on March 20 and 21. Along with this, heavy rains may also occur here.
During 20 to 22 March, there may be rain with thunderstorms and strong winds of up to 60 kmph in West Bengal, Jharkhand and Odisha. Hailstorms may also occur in all these places (Hailstorm Alert).
A cyclonic wind area persists over Northeast Assam and adjoining areas. There is a possibility of strong winds at the speed of 40 kmph along with lightning and rain (Heavy Rain Alert) and snowfall in Arunachal Pradesh during the next 5 days.
During the next 5 days, rain and snowfall is also expected in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura along with strong winds (Weather Update Latest News) with speeds up to 40 kmph.
