Ghaziabad. In view of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, strict action has been taken against vehicles without High Security Registration Plate on the roads. Many teams of Transport Department have taken to the streets in Delhi-NCR. In the capital Delhi as well as in Gautam Buddha Nagar district including Faridabad, Ghaziabad and Noida, Greater Noida, the enforcement team of the Transport Department is arresting vehicles without high security number plates and issuing challans. Let us tell you that after the implementation of Model Code of Conduct in the country, tremendous action has started against vehicle owners. In such a situation, if you have not yet installed HSRP in your vehicles, then do it immediately, otherwise you may have to pay a fine of Rs 5 to 10 thousand.
Let us tell you that high security registration plate has been made mandatory for all vehicles in the country. HSRP is an aluminum made number plate, which is installed at the front and rear of the vehicle. There is a blue chromium based hologram of Ashoka Chakra on the upper left corner of the HSRP. A unique laser branded 10 digit identification number is given on its lower left corner. Modi government has brought HSRP in view of theft of vehicles and illegal business.
Strictness regarding HSRP
It is worth noting that before April 2019, it was easy to tamper with the number plates available in the country, but after the introduction of SSRP, now it can neither be removed nor changed easily. Due to this, the incidents of vehicle theft have reduced significantly. Earlier it was almost difficult to track stolen vehicles. But, after the introduction of HSRP number plate, the cases of car theft have reduced significantly.
