- For this, you will have to write PORT in the message box and enter your 10 digit mobile number after a space.
- Along with this, if you are a user from Jammu and Kashmir then you will have to call 1900.
- Then you will have to go to BSNL service center, where you will be asked for Aadhaar card or any other ID details.
- After this you will be given a new BSNL SIM. You will have to pay some money in return for this.
- Now a special number will be sent to you, with the help of which you will be able to activate the number.

- The process of porting mobile number to BSNL is the same for both Jio and Airtel users.
- According to the rules of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, the waiting period for shifting to a new telecom operator is 7 days, which has been introduced recently.
- This means that now you will have to wait for 7 days to port any number to another company’s number.
- If your balance is not outstanding, your number will be activated within 15 to 30 days.
