EPF is deducted every month from the accounts of employees who receive a salary. If you want to check your EPF balance, you can do it online from home by following very simple steps.
If you are a government or private employee, then PF must be deducted before you get your salary. This EPF or Employee Provident Fund is a social security scheme run by the Government of India, which provides retirement benefits to the employees of organized companies. The good thing is that interest earned on the amount deposited in the EPF account is also available. Let us know how you can check PF account balance.
There are two ways to check EPF balance online, which you can see below.
Using UAN
Step 1: Visit the EPFO website https://www.epfindia.gov.in/.
Step 2: Click on “For Employees” > “Services” > “Know your EPF Account Balance”.
Step 3: Enter your UAN number, password and captcha.
Step 4: Click on “Sign In”.
Step 5: Now click on the “Passbook” tab.
Step 6: Select your PF account.
Step 7: Your EPF balance will appear on the screen.
Without UAN
Step 1: If you do not have UAN, download the UMANG app.
Step 2: Select “EPFO” service in the app.
Step 3: Click on the “EPF Balance” option.
Step 4: Enter your Aadhaar number or mobile number.
Step 5: Enter OTP.
Step 6: Your EPF balance will be displayed on the screen.

Let us tell you, UAN (Universal Account Number) is a 12-digit number allotted to every EPF account holder. If you have forgotten your UAN, you can retrieve it on the EPFO website. You can also download your EPF passbook from the EPFO website or UMANG app.
