Railway Employees PLB Calculation: The Union Cabinet on Thursday approved the payment of 78 days’ Performance Linked Bonus (PLB) of Rs 2028.57 crore to more than 11.72 lakh railway employees. This amount will be given to various categories of railway employees like track maintainer, loco pilot, train manager (guard), station master, supervisor, technician, technician helper, ‘pointsman’, ministerial staff and other employees. Railway employees had recently demanded that the bonus calculation will be done on the basis of the Seventh Pay Commission. Railway Employees PLB Calculation: Calculation will be done on the basis of seven thousand rupees
According to the official notification of the Railway Ministry, the bonus of employees whose monthly salary is more than Rs 7,000 will be calculated on the basis of Rs 7,000. The total amount of bonus has been fixed by the Railways at Rs 17,951, but the Railways has also added some conditions to it. According to the Railways, this will not apply to employees who were suspended, who left the service, retired, who died or who were on long leave.
You can deposit money in Provident Fund account
According to the notification of the Railway Ministry, eligible employees can deposit part or full amount of this bonus amount in their State Railway Provident Fund account if they wish. This bonus will be given to all eligible non-gazetted employees except the employees of Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF). Railways finally wrote in its notification that this bonus will be sent to the accounts of the employees soon.
Workers working in ports will get bonus
According to the statement issued by the government, the payment of efficiency-linked bonus will be given as an incentive to motivate railway employees to work towards improving the efficiency of the railways. Apart from the railways, the Union Cabinet has also approved this bonus scheme for the employees / workers of the major ports and dock workers board of the country. The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways said in a statement that the revised PLR scheme applicable from the financial year 2020-21 to 2025-26 will benefit about 20,704 employees of the major port authorities and employees / workers of the dock workers board.
