Hyderabad Airport controlled by GMR Group is the only airport in the country where e-boarding facilities have been introduced.
Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad, controlled by the GMR Group, has announced the introduction of end-to-end paperless e-boarding facility for international flights. Hyderabad International Airport has become the first airport in India to provide such facilities.
The GMR group has said that the service is currently available for select international flights of IndiGo Airlines. The company has said that it has started its e-boarding service after receiving the approval from the government only after a rigorous and successful test. Indigo Company is also involved in starting this project in the initial phase. Therefore, IndiGo has become the first airline company in the country to offer e-boarding service. Passengers of IndiGo to Sharjah to Flight 6E 1405 availed this facility on 2 October.
