IAF’s 18 squadron ‘flying bullet’ to be operational amid tension from China

The event will be organized at Sulur Airforce Station near Coimbatore. This squadron will be equipped with LCA Tejas aircraft. This will be the second squadron of the Air Force to fly Tejas.

Air Force Squadron 18 was formed on 15 April 1965 with the motto ‘rapid and fearless’. This squadron was flying MiG-27 aircraft before 15 April 2016. The squadron was resumed in Sulur on 1 April this year. (Pic- Twitter / @ IAF_MCC)

Recently, besides Ladakh, an incident of skirmish between the soldiers of the two countries was also reported on the border in Sikkim, after which the tension between the two countries increased.
