ICICI and Yes Bank have revised the charges for savings account services, which is effective from May 1.

New Delhi. In the month of May, the pockets of the common man may be a little loose. Because, some banks will revise the charges on savings account services, while others have decided to impose cess on utility payments through credit cards. ICICI Bank and Yes Bank had said that they will revise their charges for savings accounts from May 1.

ICICI Bank has revised the charges for savings account services, which is effective from May 1. This includes annual fees of up to Rs 200 per year on debit cards. However, for rural locations this charge is Rs 99 per year. On check book, the charges will be nil for 25 check leaflets in a year and above that, the bank will charge Rs 4 per leaf. The bank will charge between Rs 2.5 to Rs 15 per transaction depending on the transfer amount for IMPS transactions.

Changes in the charges of these services also

Apart from this, the bank will charge Rs 100 for cancellation, duplicate or revalidation of demand draft or pay order. The Bank will charge Rs 100 per application or letter for sign verification and Rs 100 (free through Customer Service IVR and Net Banking) for stopping payment of a particular check through the Bank branch.

Yes Bank changed the rules

Yes Bank has announced to revise the charges on savings account services with effect from May 1. Yes Bank has changed the minimum average balance in different types of savings accounts. Now the minimum average balance for Yes Bank’s Pro Max Savings Accounts has been changed to Rs 50,000 and the maximum charge has been changed to Rs 1,000.

Whereas for “Pro Plus”, “Yes Respect SA” and “Yes Essence SA” accounts, the minimum average balance limit is Rs 25,000 and the maximum charge is Rs 750. The minimum balance in “Account Pro” is Rs 10,000 and the maximum charge in it has become Rs 750.
