New Delhi. If you have an account in ICICI Bank then there is good news for you. The bank has now provided its customers the facility to pay customs duty online. Both corporate and retail customers can avail this facility.
Corporate customers can pay customs duty through the Bank’s Corporate Internet Banking (CIB) and mobile banking app InstaBIZ. Whereas retail customers can make payment through the bank’s retail internet banking platform.
According to a media report, Hitesh Sethia of ICICI Bank has thanked the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs for starting this service. Sethia said that this will benefit lakhs of customers of the bank. ICICI Bank has been providing the facility of payment of direct and indirect taxes for more than a decade.
Know how to make payment
Customers can make online payment by selecting ICICI Bank from the list of banks on the Indian Customs Electronic Gateway (ICEGATE) website. First of all you have to visit the website of ICEGATE. When you scroll down, you will have to select the document type and location code. After this the Import Export Code (IEC) has to be entered. To make the payment, ICICI Bank has to be selected from the list of banks. After this, you can complete your payment process by logging into Internet Banking or InstaBIZ App.
