ICICI Credit Card Rule Change: Two days later, from November 15, there are going to be major changes in the rules related to ICICI credit card, which will affect everything from reward points to transaction fees.
If you have an ICICI Bank Credit Card, then this news is very important for you. Actually, two days later i.e. from November 15, many rules related to this credit card are going to change, which will have a direct impact on you. The rules that are going to change include airport lounge access to utility transactions and reward points.
Limit of airport lounge access
The change in the rules of ICICI Bank Credit Card from November 15 is going to affect the reward points, transaction fees and benefits in various card categories. In the new rules that are going to be implemented in the credit card, ICICI Bank credit card holders will now have to spend Rs 75,000 from their card in a quarter for complimentary airport lounge access. Whereas earlier, complimentary airport lounge access was available on purchases of Rs 35,000 in a quarter.
Fuel Surcharge Waiver Rule
ICICI Bank, the second largest private sector bank, has also decided to change the fuel surcharge waiver rule for credit card users. The bank will now provide fuel surcharge free on transactions up to Rs 50,000 per month for its credit card portfolio. However, for the exclusive Emerald Mastercard Metal Credit Card, this limit will be Rs 1 lakh per month.
Utility and Insurance Payment Rule
Under Utility Transactions, reward points will continue to be available on monthly expenses up to Rs 80,000 on premium credit cards (Rubix, Sapphiro, Emerald) and insurance payments up to this limit. Apart from this, for other cards, this limit will be up to Rs 40,000 for monthly expenses or insurance payments, on which reward points will also be available.
Apart from this, premium credit card holders will be able to earn reward points on spending up to Rs 40,000 per month on groceries. While for all other cards this limit is being made Rs 20,000.
This change along with fee on supplementary card
Under the new changes, ICICI Bank has implemented an annual fee of Rs 199 on supplementary card holders. Which will be added to the card anniversary month statement. Apart from this, a charge of 1 percent will be applied on the transaction amount for making payment using third-party payment platforms like CRED, Paytm or MobiKwik for other utility transactions including studies. Apart from this, the spa facility provided by the bank through DreamFolks Card is also being discontinued.
