Today, customers had to face problems on the digital platform of private sector big bank ICICI Bank and the largest government sector bank State Bank of India (SBI). Hundreds of customers faced problems because of this.
Customer upset for 3 hours
Between 8 am and 11 am today, customers complained about the problems faced on the digital platforms of both the banks through social media. According to Down Detector, which tracks website problems, around 217 ICICI Bank customers reported internet banking problems.
SBI also complains about internet banking
According to the information, some customers also complained about SBI’s internet banking. However, both the banks also resolved the internet banking problems within a few hours. With this the digital platform started working again. Both the banks did not issue any statement in this regard.
The problem is coming since two years
By the way, for the last two years, customers have faced a lot of trouble due to problems on the digital platform of banks. Because of this, the Reserve Bank of India had banned HDFC Bank from launching a new digital product in December last year. However, recently the Reserve Bank also lifted the moratorium on credit cards.
Banks gave information to the Reserve Bank
Most of the banks have given such report to the Reserve Bank. The Reserve Bank has asked banks many times to invest more on digital platforms and make the IT platform better. At present more and more customers are using digital banking. In such a situation, customers have to face problems due to the problems faced in digital banking.
Most work on digital channel
Due to Corona, banks have done most of the work on digital channels. In this, from basic work to most of the services have been brought to digital. Customers get many services online, from money transactions, check books, statements. This reduces the cost of banks and provides easy facilities to the customers in less time.
