New Delhi. New customer service rules are going to be implemented in IDBI Bank from 1st July 2021. After which the free Cheque Book available from the bank will stop. In fact, till now no fee was charged from the customer for the Cheque Book on behalf of IDBI Bank. But after July 1, you may have to pay for a new Cheque Book. Let us know how much Cheque Book you will get free every year from IDBI Bank and after that you will be able to get Cheque Book by paying how much fee.
Every year you will get so much Cheque Book free – After July 1, you will get only one Cheque Book of 20 Cheques free from IDBI Bank. After this, if you issue a Cheque Book. So you have to pay Rs 5 per Cheque. Let us tell you that earlier the bank used to get 60 Cheque book free of cost in the first year of account opening and in subsequent years 50 Cheque book was available free of cost.
Free cash deposit facility rules also changed – Customers whose account is ‘Sabka Savings Account’ will not come under the purview of this rule. They will get unlimited free cheques. This is a zero balance account. It has been started to promote inclusive banking. The bank has reduced the free facility for cash deposit (home and non-home) from the existing 7 and 10 to 5-5 respectively in semi-urban and rural branches. Similarly, for the Super Savings Plus account, the free transactions in the savings account in semi-urban and rural areas have been reduced from the existing 10 and 12 to 8-8.
Change in the discount of locker rent – The rules of the locker have also been changed by IDBI Bank. Now the monthly balance in the account of Jubilee Plus Senior Citizen will be less than 10 thousand rupees. So they will not get any discount in locker rent. At the same time, the balance in the account remains from Rs 10 thousand to Rs 24,999 for a year. So they will get 10 percent discount in locker rent. Along with this, whose monthly average balance will be more than 25 thousand rupees. So they will get this discount of 15 percent.
