IIT Syllabus Change: IIT Delhi Director Prof. Rangan Banerjee says that the students taking admission in the coming session will study under the new syllabus. These changes will be made in view of the National Education Policy.

IIT Syllabus Change: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi Director Prof. Rangan Banerjee says that the students taking admission in the coming session will study under the new syllabus. On the occasion of the 67th Foundation Day of IIT Delhi, on Monday, the Director of the Institute Prof. Rangan Banerjee gave this information in response to a question. He said that the new syllabus is in the final stage. He said that the IIT syllabus fulfills most of the points of the National Education Policy. I can say that in the session 2025-26, students will study according to the new syllabus. There were some things based on sustainability which were not included in it.

Talking about research impact, he said that many research and startup works are being done in IIT Delhi. Work is being done in many areas including medical, AI, textile. The report reflects the work done from 2018 to 2024 after we received the status of Institute of Distinction.

He said that 147 startups have been created in various fields. He also said that a loan of Rs 645 crore has been taken from HEFA for the development of infrastructure in the institute.

The Research Impact Report covers the achievements of research and innovation in various fields. These include major startups, development of technologies and transfer to industries, high impact research, international collaborations, and research projects of social use.

Award presented on Foundation Day

  • On this occasion, Faculty Research Awards for the year 2024 were also presented.
  • Professor K.L. Chopra Award in Basic Research was presented to Prof. Gaddam Vijay Prakash.
  • Professor P.C.P. Bhatt Award in Applied Research was presented to Prof. Deepti Ranjan Sahu.
  • Early Career Award was given to Prof. Arnab Banerjee, Prof. Souvik Chakraborty, and Prof. Awarded to Dibyajyoti Ghosh.
