According to the Meteorological Department, dense to very dense fog is likely at some places in eastern Uttar Pradesh today, dense fog is likely at some places in western Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, West Bengal and Sikkim, Odisha.
Cold winds alert
According to the IMD, cold conditions are likely to prevail during the day at some places in Himachal Pradesh and Bihar today. Cold wave conditions are likely to prevail at some places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad.
Forecast of stormy winds
According to the India Meteorological Department, stormy winds are likely to blow at a speed of 45 kmph to 55 kmph in the Comorin area and adjoining Gulf of Mannar today, which may increase to 65 kmph. The department has advised fishermen not to go to these areas.
Possibility of rain and snowfall
According to the Meteorological Department, there may be sporadic rain/snowfall in the western Himalayan region today. There is a possibility of sporadic rain in different areas of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and western Uttar Pradesh.
