There is scorching heat in many states of the country. The India Meteorological Department has told in its latest report that till Sunday, there will be rain at different places in some states of eastern India. Due to this people can get some relief from serious. Whereas, the maximum temperature is expected to be around 40 degree Celsius in the northern and central plains.
The IMD has forecast widespread rainfall over the Northeast and isolated pockets over West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha over the next three days. At the same time, in the national capital i.e. Delhi-NCR, it is expected to be partly cloudy on Saturday and the maximum temperature will be around 37 degree Celsius.
The maximum temperature is likely to drop by up to five degrees Celsius due to the formation of a cyclonic circulation over central Uttar Pradesh and moisture inflow from the Bay of Bengal, the IMD said. Let us also tell you that despite the forecast of light rain on Friday, there was no rain in Delhi.
In Maharashtra too
According to the IMD, Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai and some other parts of Maharashtra are facing ‘heatwave’ conditions for the past few days. Earlier this week, Mumbai’s maximum temperature touched 38.5 degrees Celsius, while Navi Mumbai recorded a maximum temperature of 42 degrees Celsius.
Heat wave in Bengal too
At the same time, the condition of ‘Loo’ has been prevailing in West Bengal for the last 10 days. The water level of rivers has gone down in districts like Bankura, which recorded a maximum temperature of 44.3 degrees Celsius this week. After Bankura, the maximum temperature of 43.9 degree Celsius was recorded at Panagarh Air Force Station on Thursday.
However, a partly cloudy sky led to a drop in the temperature in some parts of the state on Friday. Kolkata recorded a maximum temperature of 38 degrees Celsius and neighboring Salt Lake recorded 39.7 degrees Celsius.
There was some relief in the night in Bihar-Jharkhand
Bihar’s capital Patna recorded a maximum temperature of 39.3 degrees Celsius on Friday, while Gaya recorded 38.5 degrees Celsius. Daltonganj recorded the highest maximum temperature of 40 degree Celsius in Jharkhand.
Jamshedpur recorded a maximum temperature of 36.5 degrees Celsius. An official of the Regional Meteorological Center said, “Jharkhand is likely to get respite from the scorching heat till April 25. The mercury will rise again from April 26 and ‘heat wave’ conditions may prevail in many parts of the state.
Private forecaster Skymet Weather said that light to moderate rains can be expected over South Coastal Karnataka and Kerala. Scattered rain is likely over parts of Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu and East Madhya Pradesh. It has predicted dust storm, thundershower and light rain in some parts of Punjab.
