IMD Alert: According to the weather report, light to moderate rain is expected in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema from January 12 to 14. There will be rain with storm or thunder in different parts of South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema on January 13.
IMD Alert: The cold continues to wreak havoc. Dense fog is also seen in many areas of North India on Saturday morning. People are facing a lot of trouble in movement. Many trains are running late and air traffic has also been affected. There is no hope of getting relief from the severe cold yet. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning regarding Delhi-NCR. It has predicted light rain with thunder and cloudy weather. In such a situation, the outbreak of cold may increase further. Cold winds can cause more thaw than ever. The department said that the maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be around 15 and 8 degrees Celsius respectively on Saturday. However, light sunshine may appear in the afternoon today, which is a relief news to a great extent.
An area of cyclonic winds is developing over the southeast of the Bay of Bengal, which is now over the southwest Bay of Bengal and its surroundings. According to the weather report, light to moderate rain is expected at isolated places over south coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the next 24 hours and from January 12 to 14. There may be thunderstorms or rain with thunder at isolated places over south coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema on January 13. The Meteorological Department said that dry weather is expected over north coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam during the next seven days. The same situation may prevail over south coastal Andhra Pradesh on January 11, 15 and 16. The report said that the lowest minimum temperature of 14.7 degrees Celsius was recorded in Kalingapatnam, the plains of Rayalaseema, late Thursday night.
Fog and cold wave increased trouble in Himachal
The problems of the people have increased due to the continuous cold wave and dense fog in many districts of Himachal Pradesh. People had to face problems due to cold wave in Una, Hamirpur, Mandi and Barthin. Apart from this, drivers had to face problems due to dense fog in Bilaspur, Una, Mandi and Dehradun. Due to the biting cold in Una, people remained huddled in their homes in the morning. Shopkeepers also resorted to bonfires around the shops. The minimum temperature was recorded as minus at seven places in the state and zero degree Celsius at three places. According to the Meteorological Center Shimla, light to moderate rain and snowfall is expected at some places in the state on January 11. On January 12, there will be rain and snowfall at some places in the middle and high mountain areas of the state. Light to moderate rain is expected at some places in the lower mountain-plain areas. The weather is expected to remain clear in the entire state from January 13.
Cold wave continues in Kashmir, possibility of snowfall
The cold wave continues in the Kashmir valley even today. On Friday, the minimum temperature here was recorded several degrees below the freezing point. Officials said that light snowfall is expected from Saturday, especially in the high altitude areas. Due to clear skies, night temperatures in Kashmir remain below zero. He said that the sky remained clear in most parts of the Kashmir Valley for the last few days. There was bright sunshine during the day, which brought down the night temperature. Officials said that the minimum temperature in Srinagar was recorded at minus 4.3 degrees Celsius, slightly higher than the previous night’s minus 4.4 degrees. The minimum temperature in Gulmarg was recorded at minus 8.1 degrees Celsius, higher than the previous night’s minus 9.6 degrees. The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain and snowfall at some places on Saturday and Sunday. Kashmir is currently in the grip of Chilla-e-Kalan, which is the coldest period of the winter season.
