IMD Weather Update: The Meteorological Department says that today i.e. on January 6, there is a possibility of severe to very cold day in different parts of Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh.
The severe cold has left people suffocated all over North India. This is the reason why it has become difficult for people to step out of the house. The Meteorological Department says that there are chances of further increase in cold. There is a possibility of cold wave today in Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab including Delhi.
According to the Meteorological Department, today i.e. on Saturday (January 6), cold day conditions will prevail in the capital Delhi. Not only this, there will be rain in the coming days, after which the cold will increase further. The maximum temperature in Delhi today is likely to be 15 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to be 9 degrees.
According to IMD, due to the effect of a fresh western disturbance, New Delhi may see rain activities on 9th and 10th. Talking about AQI of Delhi, the air in seven areas of Delhi remained in severe category on Friday. AQI between zero and 50 is ‘good’, 51 to 100 is ‘satisfactory’, 101 to 200 is ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 is ‘poor’, 301 to 400 is ‘very poor’ and 401 to 500 is ‘poor’. Is considered ‘serious’.
The Meteorological Department says that there is a possibility of severe to very cold days in different parts of Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh during January 6. Along with this, there will be dense fog in some parts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. An alert has also been issued regarding fog in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Apart from this, there is an alert of dense fog in different parts of Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura till January 7.
