IMD Alert: Heavy rainfall is possible at isolated places over Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, East Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Himachal Pradesh. Widespread rain and thunderstorm with heavy to very heavy falls very likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal and Sikkim.

Warning of heavy rain in 17 districts of Bihar today

Heavy rain warning has been issued in 17 districts of Bihar today, while heavy to moderate rain has been issued in some parts of eastern and southern parts of Jharkhand.   • Heavy rain warning has been issued in Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh including Malda in West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar and Gorakhpur.
  • During the last 24 hours, moderate rain warning has been issued for Goa, Konkan, Maharashtra, Telangana including North East India, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, South Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and North Coast.
  • Light rain warning has been issued in parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Gujarat.

Alert in these states

  • A warning of thunderstorm accompanied with lightning has been issued in Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal including Orissa and Uttar Pradesh. Monsoon trough is passing through these areas.
  • Along with this, forecast of moderate rain was also expressed in Maharashtra, Vidarbha, Goa.
  • A Red Orange alert has been issued for landslides accompanied by heavy rains in eastern states including Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh.
  • Moderate rain can also be seen in Himachal Uttarakhand.
