IMD Alert: Dense fog alert issued for two days from today. The direction of the winds will change in 24 hours and the severity of winter will increase. With the alert of dense fog, the Meteorological Department says that the temperature will drop and the cold will increase.


Dense fog is expected to last for two days from Monday. There will be a drop in temperature. The maximum temperature was recorded at 26.2 degrees and the minimum temperature was 7.3 degrees Celsius. After the drop in temperature from Monday, the cold is expected to increase.

According to the Meteorological Department, Meerut and surrounding areas in western UP may remain partly cloudy for 48 hours from Monday. The incident is expected to be covered by fog. Light drizzle may also occur in some parts. Due to the arrival of western disturbance in the mountains, the night temperature is expected to increase.

Day and night temperatures were recorded higher than normal, whereas last year it was extremely cold during these days. On Sunday, the maximum temperature during the day was 26.2 degrees Celsius and at night it was 7.3 degrees Celsius, which was four degrees Celsius more than normal. According to the Meteorological Department, normally the maximum temperature should be 22.5 degrees. In the morning there was less fog and the sun came out. Dense fog is expected from Monday. It may remain cloudy during the day.

On Sunday, the maximum temperature increased from 23.8 to 24 degrees Celsius. Minimum mercury increased from 7.0 to 8.0 degrees Celsius. Pollution has reduced due to wind speed being reduced to only 1.6 km per hour and change in wind direction. Air quality index decreased from 229 to 162. Dr. SN Sunil Pandey, meteorologist of CSA University, said that cold will increase in the next 24 to 48 hours.
