However, there seems to be some relief from the cold in the plains. The minimum temperature of the capital Delhi may increase by 3 points to 9 degrees Celsius today and the maximum temperature may be recorded at 23 degrees Celsius. However, dense fog will be seen here. Along with this, an increase in pollution can also be seen. Delhiites will get some respite from the cold in the next few days.
Temperature of different areas of Delhi
The minimum temperature recorded today in Safdarjung, Delhi was 9.6 degrees Celsius, which is 2 degrees more than normal. The temperature recorded in Lodhi Road was 9.1 degrees Celsius, this is also 2 degrees Celsius more than normal. Due to clouds the temperature has been recorded higher than normal.
Uttar Pradesh weather
There will be relief from the increasing cold and cold wave in Uttar Pradesh for the last few days. While giving information to Aaj Tak, Dr Mohammad Danish, scientist and in-charge of Uttar Pradesh Meteorological Department, said that western disturbance is active around Afghanistan, due to which the movement of clouds will continue in western Uttar Pradesh. However, there is less chance of rain and there are chances of sunshine for the next one week, which will bring relief to the common people.

According to Skymet, light to moderate rain and snowfall is possible in Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, Jammu Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh during the next 2 days. Light rain and snowfall is possible in Uttarakhand on 23 and 24 December. Light rain is possible in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep. Dense fog may occur in parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, North Rajasthan and Tripura.
