The effect of monsoon (Monsoon 2022) has started showing once again across the country. According to the IMD Alert, soon after June 14, the period of rain will start in many states. In fact, rain is continuing in South and East India including Mumbai.
Life has been disturbed due to heavy rains. At the same time, after June 14, rain warning has been issued in Bihar, Jharkhand and Bengal including North India . However, till June 14, there will be an increase in temperature in Haryana and Punjab including the capital Delhi .

In fact, apart from rain and thunder in many areas from Monday, the sky will remain cloudy. In the same mountainous states , the minimum temperature is expected to be 16 degrees while the maximum temperature is expected to be up to 27 degrees Celsius. The sky will be cloudy. At the same time, there will be a change in the weather from Thursday, there is a possibility of rain.

Mumbai received the heaviest pre-monsoon rains of the season on Friday night, while the southern part of the city received moderate to heavy rains. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Santa Cruz East recorded 41.3 mm of rain in the 24 hours ended at 8.30 am on Saturday, which is classified as ‘rather heavy’ rain.
Mumbai received the heaviest pre-monsoon rains of the season on Friday night. The Santa Cruz East Observatory of the India Meteorological Department recorded 56.8 mm of rain in Mumbai, classified as ‘heavy rain’, in the 24 hours ended at 8.30 am on Saturday. Moderate to heavy rains lashed South Mumbai. Simultaneously the power went out. Which continued till Saturday morning.
The Colaba observatory of the Meteorological Department recorded 61.8 mm of rain in the 24 hours that ended at 8.30 am. Light rain was recorded across Mumbai on Saturday as well. The pre-monsoon rains also brought down the minimum temperature in the city. The weather agency has predicted the pre-monsoon rains to continue till Monday. Its forecast for seven days shows that most of the city will receive thunderstorms from Tuesday evening.
According to the IMD, the pre-monsoon rains in Mumbai will continue till June 15-16. As per the forecast of seven days, Mumbai will receive thunderstorms in the evening till June 14. The official date of onset of monsoon in Mumbai is June 11.
Even though the Southwest Monsoon made an early onset over mainland India through the Kerala coast on 29 May, Bihar is likely to enter its scheduled time of rain on June 16 or 17. Monsoon current reached sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim by June 3, but thereafter there was no significant progress over eastern India.
However, now it has revived and we are expecting the monsoon to enter Bihar by June 16 or 17. Private weather agency Skymet also told on Friday that the southwest monsoon has reached Sub-Himalayan West Bengal. It will take at least 4-5 days for the monsoon to reach Kolkata in West Bengal. At the same time, monsoon can start in Bihar after June 15.
However, till the monsoon arrives in the state, residents of South Bihar will face sultry summer conditions. Seven places in the state including Dehri (44.2), Buxar (43.4), Nawada (42.2), Gaya (42.1), Jamui (41.7) and Banka (40.2) recorded maximum temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius on Friday. The maximum temperature recorded in Patna was 39 degree Celsius.
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in the northeastern states including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal during the next five days . Heavy rain is very likely over Northeast and Sub-Himalayan areas of Sikkim and West Bengal like Kalimpong and Darjeeling .
At present, there is no relief from the heat in Lucknow . The minimum temperature is expected to be 31 degree Celsius while the maximum temperature is expected to be 43 degree Celsius. At the same time, after June 14, changes will be seen in the weather, while the possibility of rain has also been expressed. Today rain alert can be seen in other districts including Bhopal of Madhya Pradesh . In fact, due to Western Disturbance in Madhya Pradesh, the minimum temperature is expected to be 26 degree Celsius and the maximum temperature is 38 degree Celsius. Whereas in Maharashtra , the minimum temperature has been predicted to be 28 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is 29 degrees Celsius. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu etc. Apart from this, there is a possibility of lightning with thunder.
