Weather Today: Heavy rain in these states today! Know how the weather will be across the country including Delhi

Orange yellow alert for heavy rain has been issued in 5 states. The knock of fog and mist will be seen in the agricultural belt of North India. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for a drop in temperature. Apart from this, due to the intensity of the two systems, it will have a big impact on the weather.


IMD Alert, Aaj ka Mausam: Change in the weather continues. Fog will persist in North India amidst continuous drop in temperature. Along with this, rain will continue in many states. Apart from this, the heights of cold are being heard in the state, a drop in temperature is being seen in the capital Delhi. Fog is visible from morning till evening. Apart from this, it is getting cold this time in the southern state. In fact, due to the Western Disturbance and the low pressure in the Bay of Bengal, warnings of heavy rain have been issued in Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Kerala, Karnataka and some parts of Odisha.

Delhi’s climate

Talking about the weather of Delhi, the coldest morning of this season has been recorded on Monday. The minimum temperature is expected to be 9 degree Celsius on 22 November.

Temperature will drop in Lucknow

Continuous changes are being seen in the weather of Uttar Pradesh. The effect of snowfall in Uttarakhand is visible. The Meteorological Department has predicted severe cold in the coming days. Dense fog will persist at many places.

The weather will be normal on Tuesday morning in the surrounding areas including the capital Lucknow. There will be fog in some places. Wind speed will be slow. A major change in the weather is expected in the next 24 hours.

Westerly wind effect in Bihar

Fluctuation in temperature continues due to westerly winds in entire Bihar including Patna. On Monday, a drop in minimum mercury was recorded in 12 districts. All districts have recorded a drop of 2 degree Celsius in temperature while 10 districts have seen a rise in temperature.

Westerly wind is being seen in Bihar. The coldest place has been recorded in Gaya district. The temperature has reached 9.6 degree Celsius. In other districts also the temperature is at 12. According to the Meteorological Center, a drop in minimum temperature has been recorded in Saran Balmiki Nagar, Muzaffarpur, Supaul, Jamui Khagaria Banka Sabour Bhagalpur including the capital.

Weather Forecast

According to the Meteorological Department, in the next two to three days, a further drop in temperature will be recorded in some parts of North West Central and East India. The depression formed in the Bay of Bengal has moved towards the northwest. With which it is expected to weaken into a deep low pressure area by this morning.

Cold wave in MP

Due to the effect of northern winds in Madhya Pradesh, there is an increase in winter. The cold has broken records in the last 5 years. Cold wave alert has been issued in 5 districts of Madhya Pradesh. By the end of November, there will be a feeling of severe winter. In the next few hours, the effect of cold wave can be seen in Betul, Khargone, Khandwa, Chhatarpur and Jabalpur, while after November 24, there will be a decrease in the minimum temperature.

Increased cold in Rajasthan

With the end of November in Rajasthan, the weather will change. In many districts, winter has intensified its attitude. In 2 days, there will be a huge drop in the temperature in the days of the state. Chilliness will increase due to cold winds. The weather is going to be dry in the state in 24 hours. 10 districts recorded night temperature below 10 while Fatehpur recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 6 degree Celsius.

Rain in southern state

The rains will continue in the southern state. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be heavy rain at some places in the coastal region of Andhra Pradesh and the north coast of Tamil Nadu. A yellow alert has been issued for light to moderate rain at many places while rain activities will increase over Andaman and Nicobar from November 23. Red and Orange alerts have been issued for this.

Rain in these areas

  • Widespread rain and thundershowers very likely over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam.
  • Scattered rain and thundershowers very likely over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.
  • Isolated rain may occur over Odisha, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala-Mahe with the possibility of lightning.
  • The air quality is very likely to be very poor over northern and central India, poor over eastern, western and southern India

Weather system

  • A depression over southwest parts of south Bay of Bengal will track west-northwestwards and reach Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coasts off south Andhra Pradesh coast.
  • Then will weaken into a well marked low pressure area around 22nd November.
  • Thereafter, it is very likely to move west-northwestwards towards north Tamil Nadu-Puducherry and south Andhra Pradesh coasts during subsequent 3 days.
  • Under its influence, fairly widespread rainfall is very likely over South Peninsular India, especially over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, peaking on 22-23 November.
  • Also a cyclonic circulation is likely to form over North Andaman Sea around Thursday and will start affecting Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
  • Overnight minimum temperatures in south peninsular India will be above normal while the northern part of the country will be marginally below normal.
