IMD Rainfall Alert: Summer season has started in the states of North India. There is strong sunshine during the day in many states including UP. The temperature is going to increase rapidly in the next few days. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has said that the states of eastern and central India will receive light to moderate rain from March 16-18 (three days).

In the last 24 hours, light to moderate rain occurred in many states including Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Western Uttar Pradesh. At the same time, hailstorm also fell in Gangetic West Bengal.

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of rain and thunderstorm in Jharkhand, Odisha between March 14-20, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh between March 16-20. Apart from this, hailstorm is going to occur in East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh on March 17 and 18. It is also going to rain in West Bengal and Sikkim on 15 and 16 March.

At the same time, rain alert has been issued in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram, Tripura between March 14-20. Hot days will continue over Kerala, Mahe, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal for the next five days. Apart from this, heat wave is going to hit North Interior Karnataka on 14 and 15 March.

The heat in northwest India is going to increase in the coming days. After three days, the maximum temperature in the states of North West and West India is going to increase by two to four degrees Celsius. On the other hand, in Odisha, the maximum temperature may drop by two to three degrees Celsius during the next five days.

Drop in temperature in Delhi

The minimum temperature in the national capital Delhi dropped to 14.6 degrees Celsius, which is one degree Celsius less than the average temperature of this season. Meteorological Department gave this information. According to the department, the maximum temperature in Delhi today is likely to be around 30 degrees Celsius and the day may remain partly cloudy. Due to the active western disturbance in the national capital Delhi, light rain occurred in some parts of the city on Wednesday afternoon. But there is no possibility of rain for the next six days.
