Humidity has increased in Delhi since last week
Delhi’s Safdarjung Observatory recorded a minimum temperature of 28.8 degrees Celsius on Wednesday. At the same time, the maximum temperature is expected to be around 41 degree Celsius. The humidity level in the city has been high and the temperature is also very high for the last one week.
Chance of rain in Delhi on Friday
The Safdarjung Observatory recorded a maximum temperature of 41.5 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, but the heat index had recorded a temperature of 53 degrees Celsius. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Delhi is likely to receive the first monsoon rains on Thursday or Friday. The IMD has issued an ‘Orange Alert’ forecasting moderate rain in the city on June 30. By July 1, the maximum temperature can drop to 33-34 degree Celsius.
Heavy rain may occur in Delhi on June 30
The southwest monsoon usually reaches the national capital by June 27. Senior scientist at IMD R. Of. Jenamani said that there is a possibility of heavy rain in the city on June 30. The arrival of monsoon can be announced on Thursday or Friday. According to IMD data, in the last 62 years, monsoon has knocked in Delhi 29 times in June and 33 times in July.
