Weather Report: IMD has predicted an increase in temperature in North Indian states like Delhi, Haryana, UP. At the same time, it may rain in the south and north-eastern states.
Weather Forecast Today: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted severe heat and heatwave in North India. The IMD said that North Indian states like Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab are going to experience scorching heat today (Saturday, April 5). Today the temperature in these states can reach 40 degrees Celsius.
Possibility of rain in south and eastern states
At the same time, IMD has predicted rain in the south and east parts of the country today. The IMD said that it will rain in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and North Karnataka today. Apart from this, it will also rain in the northeastern states of Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh. While in view of the possibility of rain and hailstorm with thunder in Meghalaya and Assam, an orange alert has been issued in Assam and Meghalaya.
How will the weather be in the country’s capital today
The IMD said that heatwave-like conditions may develop in some areas of Delhi today i.e. Saturday (April 5). However, its effect will be very short-lived. The Meteorological Department has said that there is no alert regarding heat wave in the country’s capital till April 7.
However, according to the IMD forecast, there may be scorching heat in Delhi in the coming week. The minimum temperature in Delhi today is likely to be around 18 to 20 degrees and the maximum 39 to 40 degrees Celsius. Apart from this, Delhi’s AQI has also come in the poor category again.
IMD warning for Uttar Pradesh and Bihar
Along with this, the temperature will also increase in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh from next week. There is a heat wave alert in Punjab and Haryana from 7 to 9 April. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has not yet given any warning regarding heat wave in Bihar. However, due to the increase in temperature, people are feeling intense heat.
