IMD Alert: The weather in northwest India is pleasant these days. There is good sunshine during the day and the weather is also soft due to light wind. However, an increase in temperature is being seen. Due to which people have got relief from severe cold. The increase in temperature has broken the record of the last several years. But now once again the sky will be guarded by clouds and rain can be seen.
Light rain and snowfall possible
According to Skymet, a weather forecasting agency, today, January 21, the minimum temperature is expected to increase in northwest, central and eastern India. Light rain and snowfall is possible in the upper regions of the Himalayas. Apart from this, light rain may occur in Tamil Nadu. Then the rainy season is likely to start from January 22. On January 22, a new western disturbance will reach the western Himalayas. Due to which light to moderate rain may occur in some parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and northwestern Uttar Pradesh.
Chances of rain in these states
Although the rain on January 22 and 23 will not be heavy, but some parts of Delhi, western Haryana and Uttar Pradesh may receive heavy rain once or twice. This rain is likely to reduce the maximum temperature in the region to some extent, which will provide some relief from the unusual hot weather seen recently.
Dry weather again after rain
The spell of rain will end after the effect of the western disturbance ends. Then after January 24, the minimum temperature is expected to drop. However, after this rain, dry weather is expected for a week, which will return to dry weather conditions again in the northern plains.
Although the rain on January 22 and 23 will not be so much that it can overcome the major water shortage in the region but it will break the dry weather and give some relief to the farmers and residents of northwest India. During the next week, the weather will be influenced by the impact of western disturbance and the subsequent return of dry conditions.
