IMD Weather Report Today: The latest weather report of India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rain and cold winds in different parts of the country for the next one week. Apart from this, rain has started in many places including Delhi-NCR and hill states. According to IMD report, western disturbance is active. It may affect the western Himalayan region from February 29 and surrounding plains from March 1-3, 2024.
The weather center informed that there is a strong possibility of another intense western disturbance becoming active from March 1-2. Due to its effect, there may be rain in some parts of many states and strong winds at some places in the first week of March. Under its influence, isolated heavy rainfall and snowfall in hilly areas with hailstorm activity is predicted in Uttarakhand on March 1.
Rain in many places across the country today
The Meteorological Department said that there is a fresh possibility of rain, hailstorm and lightning in Central India today. Today, isolated light and moderate rainfall with strong winds is likely over South Madhya Pradesh, South Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Vidarbha. The wind speed is expected to be 30-40 km per hour. Rainy weather will continue in states like Jharkhand and West Bengal today. IMD said that hailstorm has also been predicted at isolated places in South Madhya Pradesh and South Chhattisgarh today.
It is raining in Delhi
On Tuesday, the morning of Delhiites started with cold. The morning started with heavy rain in many areas. Due to this the weather has become pleasant. Strong winds are also blowing due to which the weather has become a little cooler. Apart from this, it is drizzling with cold winds in Noida also. In NCR, there will be light to moderate intensity rain at many places in Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula and surrounding areas. The cold weather in the morning and evening will continue for the next one week. After this the temperature may increase.
A day earlier, the minimum temperature in the national capital was recorded at 9.9 degrees Celsius, which is three degrees below the season’s average. The relative humidity was recorded at 78 percent at 8.30 am. Meteorologists have predicted very light rain and generally cloudy skies. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 27 degrees Celsius.
