Weather Update Today: For several days, the mercury has started falling to a great extent in the capital Delhi. Here people are also facing shivering cold in the morning. At the same time, rain and snowfall in the hilly states has increased the cold in the plain areas. Here, according to India Meteorological Office, there is a possibility of rain in Odisha and West Bengal today. Because the area of low humidity over the Bay of Bengal has turned into a depression. Light to moderate rainfall is expected in some parts of Malkangiri, Koraput and Rayagada.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in varying degrees in Coastal Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura from November 16 to 18. Due to the rough condition of the sea here, fishermen have been advised not to venture into the Bay of Bengal, Andaman Sea and the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal and Bangladesh.
Thunderstorm with rain in these areas on Thursday-Friday
Here, according to the Indian Meteorological Office, today a warning of stormy rain has been issued in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry on Friday-Saturday and in Kerala on Thursday-Friday. There is a possibility of storm, lightning and strong winds in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema till November 16. On November 17, wind speed in central parts of Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal will be 45-55 km per hour and on November 16-17, wind speed in south-west Bay of Bengal and coastal areas of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh will be 45-55 km per hour. It may reach up to 50 per hour. Coastal places of Kerala and Andhra Pradesh may also receive rain on Thursday.

According to IMD, today Thursday, there may be heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in the coastal parts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. There is a possibility of storm and lightning at one or two places. Heavy to very heavy rainfall likely to occur at isolated places over Cuddalore, Villupuram, Chengalpattu and Kanchipuram districts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Tamil Nadu’s Tirupattur, Vellore, Ranipet, Tiruvallur, Chennai, Tiruvannamalai, Kallakurichi, Perambalur, Ariyalur, Tiruchirappalli, Pudukkottai, Rain is expected in Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai districts and other places in Karaikal region.
