Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. Storm with lightning is expected at isolated places over West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, North Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.
Weather Update Today, IMD Alert: Today, heavy rain warning has been issued in 14 states of the country. For this, an alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department. According to the Meteorological Department, till September 3, the rainy season will continue in these areas. However, West Bengal including Bihar Jharkhand will once again feel humid heat with the increase in temperature. A forecast has also been issued for clear weather for 7 days in Uttarakhand and Himachal.
Significant change in weather in Haryana Punjab
According to the Meteorological Department, the condition of the monsoon line is going to move forward for four days in the foothills of the Himalayas. Due to which there will be changes in the weather. Due to its movement towards the north, warnings of torrential rain have been issued in some states. From August 30 to September 5, significant changes in the weather are going to be seen in Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab including Jammu Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and many areas of North India.
Alert of heavy rain at different places for next 5 to 7 days
According to the Meteorological Department, an alert of heavy rain has been issued at different places in Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Nagaland for the next 5 to 7 days. The forecast of the Meteorological Department has said that West Bengal and Sikkim will see heavy rains from September 1, while Orissa will see heavy rains from August 2 to 4.
The same Andaman and Nicobar Deep Group has also issued an alert for heavy rains in Northeast India and Peninsular region. On September 3, a new round of monsoon and rain will begin in the states of eastern India. Along with this, the possibility of rain has been ruled out in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Chhattisgarh. Sporadic rain may be seen in some areas. An increase in temperature will be seen in these areas.
Humid summer is about to start once again in Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh. With a rise of 3 to 4% in temperature, wind will blow at a speed of 8 to 9 km. The sky will be clear. However, due to high humidity, the humid heat will continue to be felt. At present, no rain warning has been issued in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand to Delhi NCR surrounding states.

A cyclonic circulation is forming along the north coast of Kerala, north of Lakshadweep
A line is extending from South Interior Karnataka at low level to Comorin area.
The Western Disturbance is seen as a trough of mid-tropospheric westerly winds.
Rain in these states in the next 24 hours
- Warning of moderate to heavy rains has been issued in Kerala, Lakshadweep during the next 24 to 48 hours.
- Heavy rain alert has been issued in eastern states including Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram. Landslides may occur in these areas.
- Warning of moderate rain has been issued in Himachal, Uttarakhand. Apart from this, moderate rain may be seen at some places in Tamil Nadu.
- Light rain will be seen at two or three places in Jharkhand and Orissa including some areas of West Bengal, Sikkim, Himachal, Uttarakhand, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Bihar.
- Sporadic rain will be seen in some areas of Madhya Pradesh including Goa, Vidarbha and Konkan.
- Dry weather will be recorded in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana and Punjab.
