Due to light rain and strong winds, the temperature of Delhi-NCR has dropped. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is expected to remain like this till May 4. There is also an alert of thunderstorm along with rain in many states.
Rain alert in Delhi and Lucknow as well
The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert for Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. Due to the rain, the people of North India have got relief from the heat. The maximum temperature is also being recorded below average.
The minimum temperature in Delhi is being recorded at 21 degrees and maximum at 28 degrees. At the same time, in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, today the minimum temperature can be recorded 24 and the maximum temperature can be recorded 28 degrees.
According to the Meteorological Department, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, South Interior Karnataka, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Western Himalayan region and Madhya Pradesh can record heavy rain activities during May 01-03. There will be some reduction in the rains only after May 4.

According to the weather forecasting agency Skymet, the cyclonic circulation is over the central parts of Pakistan. Another cyclonic circulation is over Southeast Arabian Sea.
A trough is extending from some parts of Madhya Pradesh up to South Interior Karnataka across Vidarbha, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Due to this, conditions of rain are being created in the states of Central, North-West and South India.

During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rains are possible over Southeast Madhya Pradesh, South Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Marathwada, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, South Interior Karnataka, Interior Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Light to moderate rain very likely over Northeast India, Sikkim, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Western Himalayan Hills, parts of Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Marathwada, parts of Madhya Maharashtra, Karnataka and North Chhattisgarh .
Apart from this, light rain may occur in parts of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal and East Rajasthan and Gujarat. There will be respite from heat and heatwave in North India for the next three days.
