According to the Indian Meteorological Department, today an alert of heavy rain has been issued in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry on Tuesday – Wednesday and Kerala on Wednesday – Thursday. There is a possibility of storm, lightning and strong winds in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema till November 16. On November 14- 15, wind speed in central parts of Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal will be 45. Wind speed may reach 45-55 km per hour in south-west Bay of Bengal and coastal areas of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh on November 15-16. Wind speed may reach 45-55 km per hour in coastal areas of Kerala and Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday. It may rain.

According to IMD, today Tuesday, there may be heavy to very heavy rain in the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. There is a possibility of storm and lightning at one or two places. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places over Cuddalore, Villupuram, Chengalpattu and Kanchipuram districts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Tamil Nadu’s Tirupattur, Vellore, Ranipet, Tiruvallur, Chennai, Tiruvannamalai, Kallakurichi, Perambalur, Ariyalur, Tiruchirappalli, Heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places over Pudukkottai, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai districts and Karaikal region.

Rain alert in these states till November 20, holiday in schools

According to Skymet Weather, today Tuesday, there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, light to moderate rain over south coast of Tamil Nadu-Andhra Pradesh and light to moderate rain over Rayalaseema, Lakshadweep, parts of Kerala and South Interior Karnataka. .It has been decided to close educational institutions in Puducherry and Karaikal along with Villupuram, Ariyalur, Cuddalore and Nagapattinam in Tamil Nadu for 2 days. In Puducherry also, there is a possibility of heavy rain for two days from today, then 3-3 moderate rains and light rain in the next two days i.e. on 19 and 20 November. For November 16, a yellow alert has been issued for rain and thundershowers in six districts of Odisha namely Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri and surrounding districts of Ganjam.

Cold and fog will increase in these states

Fog may increase in Delhi till November 16. There is a possibility of clear sky and light fog for the next 7 days. Cold has started increasing in the districts of Uttar Pradesh also. At this time northwest winds are blowing. Due to increase in cold, fog will also increase day and night in the state. There is a possibility of minimum temperature falling by one degree Celsius.
There is a possibility of increase in fog and mist in Bihar. Here too a drop in temperature will be recorded.

On November 15, a new weather system is going to be active in the Bay of Bengal due to which there may be light rain in some districts of Gwalior and Chambal divisions of Madhya Pradesh as well as in some places in Sagar, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh. After the formation of the new weather system, there may be showers in the coming 3-4 days in Tikamgarh, Panna, Chhatarpur, Sagar, Raisen, Vidisha and some other districts. The period of severe cold may start after November 15. Cold is expected to increase with snowfall in some areas of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand.

What does the meteorological department’s forecast say?

A low pressure area is expected to develop over the Bay of Bengal and move west-northwestwards, which is likely to intensify into a depression over central and adjoining south Bay of Bengal around November 16. A cyclonic circulation is over the south-west Bay of Bengal and extends up to 1.5 km above sea level.
