Weather Alert: Western disturbance is going to be active once again in many parts of India, due to which the weather is expected to deteriorate in the first week of February itself. IMD has predicted light to heavy rain in many states of India along with thunderstorms. Apart from this, dense fog prevailed in many states in the morning, due to which the visibility was greatly reduced.

Passengers had to face difficulties on the roads. In many places, there were traffic jam-like situations. People had to turn on the indicators of vehicles to drive in the fog during the day itself. Snowfall is still being witnessed in the hilly states. Some routes are also blocked due to snowfall and snow fall. Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert of heavy rains in many states of the country. How will the weather be in the next 7 days

According to IMD, Western disturbance is going to be active soon. By February 5, light to moderate rain can be seen in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Muzaffarabad. Snowfall is also expected here. A rain alert has been issued for Uttarakhand from 1 to 5 February and Punjab, Chandigarh and Haryana between January 31 and February 5.

Along with this, a period of moderate to heavy rain can be seen in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan between February 3 and 5. Due to the pressure situation in Assam, there may be rain with thunderstorms. Moderate rain may occur in Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and West Bengal on January 31. Heavy rain is expected in some areas of Northeast Assam, Nagaland.

Dense fog will prevail here

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, a white sheet of dense fog can be seen in the plains of Ganga in West Bengal on January 31. Fog is expected to prevail in the sub-Himalayan parts of Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal till February 1. Dense fog may continue in different areas of Sikkim. Bihar, Odisha, Assam and Meghalaya will remain engulfed in fog till February 2.
