IMD Alert: Apart from the disturbances in the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea, half a dozen weather systems are active simultaneously. Due to this, there are heat waves and thunderstorms in some parts of the country. In the next 72 hours, there will be changes in different parts of UP every day. There may be drizzle with thunderstorms in Kanpur and surrounding areas on April 11.

UP Weather Update: The weather will change once again in UP. There are chances of heat waves and thunderstorms in some places. Not only the day, the heat of the night has also started bothering. On Tuesday, the night temperature in Kanpur reached 25 degrees. There was an increase of 7.5 degrees in the last 24 hours. Strong winds started blowing from the night itself. According to the Meteorological Department, the winds will blow at a speed of 50 to 55 km per hour in the next 72 hours. Drizzle with thunderstorms is also possible on Sunday. At the same time, the sun came out so much in the afternoon that it became difficult to even go out.

Minimum temperature reached 25 degrees

The night temperature reached 25 degrees directly from 17.5. Due to cloudy weather, the temperature increased rapidly. In April, the night temperature was running close to normal. On Tuesday, it became 04.2 degrees more than normal. Due to the presence of clouds, the night temperature will remain high in the future as well. The day temperature was 39.5 to 38.4 degrees Celsius, which is 1.8 degrees more than normal.

High speed winds will blow for 72 hours

High speed winds will continue to blow from Tuesday night for the next 72 hours. Its speed will be up to 45-55 km per hour. Due to surface wind, dust flying during the day can cause a lot of problems for the passersby. The period of high speed winds will continue in Kanpur and surrounding areas.

Clouds covered, day and night temperature increased

The mood of the weather is changing in eastern UP as well. After the heat in the first fortnight of April, clouds have now entered the weather. Light black clouds have covered the sky since Tuesday. Humidity has increased in the air. Despite this, the day and night temperature has increased.

In the first fortnight of April, the day temperature has been consistently higher than normal. The sun’s rays kept spewing fire. The maximum day temperature reached close to 40 degrees Celsius. From Tuesday, the activity of the western disturbance has shown a partial effect. The weather became pleasant after noon due to the clouds coming from Nepal.

The sky remained clear since Tuesday morning. The sun came out. There was bright sunshine. As the day progressed, the sun’s rays turned red. There was a partial increase in the day temperature in the last 24 hours. On Tuesday, the maximum day temperature was 37.9 degrees Celsius. This is 1.2 degrees Celsius more than normal. However, the weather changed after 2:30 in the afternoon. Clouds covered the sky. The humidity in the air increased. Cold wind blew.

Temperature rose at night

The presence of clouds in the sky caused the highest increase in night temperature. In the last 24 hours, the night temperature rose by 1.6 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature on Tuesday was 23.8 degrees Celsius.

Temperature slipped during the day, humidity increased suffocation

The knock of south-eastern winds on Tuesday in West UP including Meerut brought the heat and humidity. Despite the fall in maximum temperature, the humidity made people miserable. Today also, most of the time, conditions like humidity and severe heat will prevail. However, pre-monsoon activities are expected to start in West UP from tomorrow. There is a possibility of storm and rain due to this and there will be relief from the heat. According to the Meteorological Department, the day and night temperature in Meerut on Tuesday was recorded at 37.3 and 19.1 degrees Celsius respectively. Monday night was the hottest night of the season in Meerut. There was a drop of 1.2 degrees during the day as compared to Monday.

People are suffering due to power crisis

Faults and maintenance work are becoming a hindrance in uninterrupted power supply. Due to the slow pace of work of Business Plan and RDSS scheme, power crisis has started troubling people in summer. On Tuesday, people faced power crisis during the day in many areas including Ghantaghar. Drinking water supply was also affected.

Agra was the third hottest city in the state

On the second day of heatwave (loo), Agra was the third hottest city in the state. The maximum temperature was 42 degrees. While Jhansi was at the first place with 42.6 degrees and Banda was at the second place with 40.2 degrees. There is a heat wave alert on Wednesday as well.

Relief was felt due to moist winds blowing in the morning on Tuesday. The temperature started rising after 10 o’clock. At 12 noon, the moist winds turned into heatwave. The situation remained the same till 4 pm. There was less crowd on the roads and markets. According to the weather department, heatwave will be felt on Wednesday as well. Relief is expected after that. Temperature will drop due to strong surface winds from April 10. Clouds will also remain overcast. There is no possibility of rain here at present. In such a situation, the day temperature may be 40 degrees or less. The temperature is expected to rise again after April 14.

Mercury 6.2 degrees above normal

On Tuesday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 42.0 degrees Celsius, 6.2 degrees above normal. While the minimum temperature was recorded at 22 degrees Celsius, 0.9 degrees above normal. The maximum percentage of humidity was 61.
