IMD Alert: Today on Wednesday, light to moderate rain is likely over Northeast India, Sikkim, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Western Himalayas, Goa and Rayalaseema, Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Weather Update Today: As soon as the south-west monsoon departs, changes are being seen in the weather across the country. At some places the rainy season is continuing and at some places the cold is getting ready to knock. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, on October 13, a fresh Western Disturbance will affect the Western Himalayan region, due to which there will be rain in many states including Kerala, while the effect of cold will be seen in many states including MP, UP and Chhattisgarh. Today on Wednesday, rain alert has been issued in 10 states, while in South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala, there is a possibility of torrential rain for the next two days.
There will be heavy rain in these states in the next 24 hours
According to IMD, during the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with isolated heavy falls may occur over Coastal Karnataka, North Kerala and South Interior Karnataka. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in Northeast India, Sikkim, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Western Himalayas, Goa and Rayalaseema, Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Winter is expected to increase with light rain in Uttarakhand and light to moderate rain is expected at one or two places in Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Madhepura, Saharsa, Purnia, Katihar districts of seven districts of Himachal Pradesh and Bihar.
Effect of western disturbance will be visible, rain and cold in these states
According to IMD, there is a possibility of light rain at isolated places with thunder and lightning at isolated places over Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on October 14 and 15. There may be rain in Delhi between October 15 and 18. On October 15, there is a possibility of light rain in the border areas of Western Rajasthan and some parts of Bikaner, Ganganagar, Hanumangarh.
After this, there is a possibility of isolated rain with thunder in some parts of Jodhpur, Bikaner, Ajmer and Jaipur divisions on 16-17 October. The weather will remain clear and dry in Madhya Pradesh and UP till October 14, but after October 15, the temperature will drop and the effect of cold will be seen. Due to the activation of a new western disturbance on Friday, the weather may remain bad in the hilly areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand till October 15. During this period, there are chances of cloud cover, lightning and rain.
