IMD Alert: Weather will change! Heavy rain will occur in these districts in next 24 hours amid cold wave and fog, alert issued

IMD Weather Today: Cold wave and fog are causing severe cold in North India. Cold wave continues in states like Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The minimum temperature in these states has fallen below 10 degrees Celsius.


There was relief from dense fog in Delhi-NCR on Saturday morning. However, icy winds have been blowing since this morning. According to the Meteorological Department, cold wave has been issued on January 20 and yellow alert has been issued in the capital on January 21.

The effect of cold wave and severe cold is also being seen in Uttar Pradesh. On Saturday, most of the districts of UP including Lucknow have recorded the coldest day and coldest night so far this winter. According to the Meteorological Department, most of the districts of UP are in the grip of cold. The average maximum temperature in the state has been recorded at 17 degrees and the minimum temperature has been recorded below 10 degrees.

Cold wave and severe cold is also being seen in Bihar. The harshness of winter will continue in Bihar for the next 5 days. There is a possibility of severe cold in the state till January 24. Experts said that people should not leave their homes if there is no need.

According to the Meteorological Department, a cold wave alert has been issued in 20 districts of Madhya Pradesh. There is a possibility of rain in four districts of Madhya Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain with thunderstorms in Anuppur, Dindori, Khandwa and Balaghat districts. There is a possibility of increase in cold in Chhattisgarh also. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be light drizzle in some districts including Raipur, Durg-Bhilai.
