IMD Alert, Today Weather Update: There is a process of change in the weather of the country. Heavy rain warning has been issued in 18 districts and four divisions of Uttar Pradesh today while thunderstorm and storm warning has been issued in 30 districts.
Red Orange of heavy rain was issued in Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal including Maharashtra, Goa. A drop of 2 to 3% in the temperature has been recorded. Along with this, the process of heavy rain is going to continue for the next 5 to 6 days. Heavy rainfall is likely at a few places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, West Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and North Tamil Nadu.

Orange yellow alert for heavy rain in 30 districts of Uttar Pradesh today
Talking about the weather of Uttar Pradesh, an orange yellow alert for heavy rain has been issued in 30 districts of Uttar Pradesh today, while a warning of thunderstorm including storm and lightning has been issued. The arrival of clouds in the sky is going to continue. Due to heavy rains in many places, the river drains have come on the storm. A drop of 2 to 3% in temperature has been recorded. At the same time, the minimum temperature has come down to 23 degree Celsius.
A cyclone formed in West Bengal
A cyclone has formed in West Bengal. Whose effect will be seen on Jharkhand. There is a possibility of heavy rain at some places in the eastern and central parts of Jharkhand. Heavy rain warning has been issued near Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi. The effect of cyclonic circulation will also be seen in Sikkim as the monsoon trough is passing through Ferozepur, Karnal, Meerut, Azamgarh, Patna, Deoghar, Diamond Harbour.
Heavy rain in Himachal Uttarakhand today, August 24
The same is moving towards West Bengal in Bihar via eastern Assam from northeast Uttar Pradesh. Due to which its effect will be seen in West Bengal and Sikkim as well. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain activity can be seen in Himachal, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh today, on August 24, while a warning of heavy to very heavy rain has been issued in Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand and Northeast India for the next three days.
Heavy rain in eastern states

Heavy rain warning has been issued at isolated places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand while widespread rain and thunderstorm is expected over Jharkhand, Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa . Very heavy rain has also been forecast at isolated places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sikkim, East Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Weather Alert
- The western end of the Monsoon trough is moving north of its normal position over North Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. It is expected to remain north of its normal position for 6 to 7 days.
- Heavy rain warning has also been issued in Punjab and Haryana. In some places, the rate of heavy rain was issued Orange Red. In view of heavy rains in many areas of Punjab, instructions were given to keep the schools closed till August 27. However, below the school is expressing anger on this order of the government.
- Monsoon trough is moving closer to its normal position and it is likely to remain there for next 4 to 5 days.
- A cyclonic circulation is over West Uttar Pradesh. The cyclonic circulation extends east west up to South Assam. Due to which a warning of heavy rain has been issued over North West India.
- From South Chhattisgarh to Tamil Nadu, it is very likely to cause heavy rain and thundershowers at isolated places over North Tamil Nadu on August 1.
