People can get relief from the increasing heat in Delhi on 19 and 20 February. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in many states of the country including Delhi-NCR these days.
Rapid change is being seen in the weather of entire North India including Delhi. While on one hand heat is being felt during the day, on the other hand cold is being felt at night. It is being said about Delhi-NCR that this time the heat has come before time. However, North India including Delhi and many other states of the country can soon get relief from the increasing heat during the day. A drop in temperature can be seen once again in these places. According to the Meteorological Department, in the coming two to three days, there may be more than light rain in many states of the country.
The temperature in Delhi-NCR and some of its surrounding states has become higher than normal. Due to this, people here have started feeling March-like heat in February itself. However, seeing the clouds in Delhi on Sunday evening, people are hoping to get some relief from the heat. According to the Meteorological Department, light rain may occur in Delhi on February 19 and 20 due to Western Disturbance.
Possibility of rain
Day temperature increased by 1-3 degree Celsius at many places in Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Telangana. At the same time, the temperature has dropped by 1-3 degree Celsius at many places in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh. Light rain is expected in Arunachal Pradesh from February 17 to February 22. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in Arunachal Pradesh on February 19.
Meteorological Department alert
The Meteorological Department has also issued an alert regarding light rain in Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim during the next 7 days. A new western disturbance is likely to arrive in the western Himalayan regions and adjoining plains from the night of February 18 to February 20, whose intensity will be highest on February 19 and 20. Due to this disturbance, heavy rain can be seen in the plains of North India.
Snowfall alert in these states
According to the Meteorological Department, light rain and snowfall may occur in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh during February 17 to 22. Also, rain alert has been issued for Punjab, Haryana on February 19 and 20, Rajasthan on February 18 and 19, Western Uttar Pradesh on February 20 and Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi on February 19. During the next 3-4 days, minimum temperature is likely to increase by 2-3 degree Celsius in North-West India and Central India.
