IMD Weather Update Today 12 January 2024: The people of North India, troubled by the bone-chilling cold for the last few days, now seem to be getting some relief. The Meteorological Department has predicted that people will get relief from the harsh cold for the next 6-7 days, the maximum temperature will increase today on Friday and then this trend will continue for a few days.
There will be a change in the weather, there will be relief from cold
Giving information, the India Meteorological Department said that cold wave was not recorded in the capital Delhi on Thursday, the reason being said to be the dense layer at the upper level, the minimum temperature was recorded at 5.8 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature was recorded at 18.1 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department estimates that today on Friday the maximum temperature will be around 20 degrees, which will provide relief from the melting cold.
Cold day situation will reduce
IMD said that today Friday the sky will be clear, partial clouds may be seen in the afternoon, from now onwards the cold day and severe cold day conditions are going to reduce in North West India but dense fog in the morning and night for the next 4-5 days. There may be shade.
Dense fog will cover these states
While forecasting, IMD said that there will be dense to very heavy rain in the morning in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Assam Mizoram, Meghalaya, Tripura, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu, Assam, North Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Odisha, Sikkim, West Bengal and Rajasthan. Very dense clouds are expected.
Snowfall in hilly states, possibility of rain in south
On the other hand, due to the latest western disturbance, the Meteorological Department has predicted light rain/snowfall at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh on January 12 and 13. Apart from this, there is a possibility of Northeast Monsoon rain over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Mahe, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema and adjoining areas of South Interior Karnataka around January 15.
