IMD Alert, IMD Weather: The effect of low pressure activity in the Bay of Bengal and the returning monsoon is being seen in the state. Rain warnings have been issued in more than a dozen states. Warning of heavy to heavy rain has been issued in Bihar, Jharkhand including Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Chhattisgarh and some parts of Madhya Pradesh. Orange alert of torrential rain has been issued in Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa and West Bengal.

The Meteorological Department said in its forecast that in the next two to three days, southwest monsoon may withdraw from additional areas of northwest and adjacent west central India. The situation remains better for this. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, a low pressure area has formed in the east central Arabian Sea off South Konkan, Goa. A warning has been issued about it developing into a well-marked low pressure area. As it develops, it will move towards the west. As it turns into a depression within 24 hours, heavy rains and thunderstorm activity will increase in many areas.

The weather has changed in many states including Bihar and Jharkhand. Warnings of heavy to very heavy rain have been issued in more than a dozen states. Wind can blow at a speed of 35 to 45 kilometers. Rain warning has been issued in Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal. The sky will be clear in the capital Delhi. The effect of rain has been ruled out. There will be bright sunshine in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat also. An increase in temperature can be seen.

Cyclonic circulation

A cyclonic circulation is located over the southwest corner of Bengal, just off the coast of Tamil Nadu within the mesotropospheric level. Here in the central part of North Bay of Bengal, another low pressure area may develop during the next 24 hours. As it develops, it is likely to move northwestwards towards northern Orissa and adjoining West Bengal coast.

West India

The effect of low pressure and returning effect of monsoon will be seen in Western India. There is a warning of thunder and lightning in Konkan and Central Maharashtra from September 30 to October 3. Along with this, warnings of light to moderate widespread rainfall have been issued at different places. Very heavy rain has been predicted in Konkan Goa on September 30. Wind can blow at a speed of 55 kilometers per hour. Wind speed can reach 65 kilometers. The effect of weather can be seen in Maharashtra, Goa and Karnataka.

Central India

In Central India, widespread to heavy rain has been predicted from September 30 to October 3 in Chhattisgarh. Warnings of heavy rain and storm have also been issued at different places. The effect of rain in Chhattisgarh can also leave its impact on some areas of Madhya Pradesh.

South India

In South India, a warning of thunder, lightning and heavy to moderate rain has been issued in Karnataka and Kerala between October 30 and October 3. At these places also, wind can blow at a speed of 35 to 40 kilometers.

Eastern India

In Eastern India, from September 30 to the entire week of October, heavy to very heavy rains along with thunderstorms and lightning are forecast at isolated places in West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar. A warning of heavy rain has also been issued in the Himalayas, West Bengal and Sikkim on 2 to 3 October. The Meteorological Department has also predicted heavy rain in Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram.
