According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), it indicates widespread rainfall with thunder, lightning and strong winds over Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh on March 1 and 2. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Punjab on March 2. According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain is expected in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Northern Madhya Pradesh on March 1 and 2. Strong surface winds are also expected in northwest India during the next 2 days.
Warning of hailstorm along with rain
