IMD Cold Wave Alert: Dense fog creates tension in Delhi, UP, Punjab and Haryana, many trains and flights canceled, check details quickly

New Delhi , Severe cold continues in Bihar. The roads are becoming deserted as soon as morning and evening. People are resorting to bonfire to avoid the cold. Yellow alert has been issued regarding cold wave in Patna, Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur, Chhapra, Araria and Motihari.

Fog hit in West UP as well

Due to fog in western Uttar Pradesh also, people had to face problems in movement. 0 m in Agra, 50 m in Varanasi/Babatpur, Bahraich, Sultanpur and Lucknow in Eastern Uttar Pradesh, 50 m in Gaya, Bhagalpur in Bihar, 25 m in Coochbehar in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, 50 m in Bagdogra and 200 m in Jalpaiguri. And 200 meter visibility was recorded in Pantnagar of Uttarakhand.

Visibility reduced in North India due to fog, zero in Bathinda

Due to the fog, visibility has reduced in the whole of North India. Bhatinda-0 m, Amritsar-25 m, Ludhiana-200 m. 25 meters in Ganganagar; 25-25 meters in Hisar, Ambala and Bhiwani of Haryana, 50 meters in Palam of Delhi, 200 meters visibility has been recorded in Karnal, Safdarjung and Ayanagar.

Six flights arriving at Jammu airport canceled

Due to dense fog and clouds in the plains of Jammu division, six flights arriving at Jammu airport had to be cancelled. A flight coming from Delhi to Jammu was sent back by air.

45 flights delayed due to fog: Delhi

Around 45 flights are running late at Delhi airport due to bad weather. There was no information about diversion of any flight till 8 am.

26 trains running late due to fog

Entire North India is in the grip of fog. Due to fog, 26 trains are running late in Northern Railway zone.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Safdarjung in Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 5.9 degrees Celsius at 6.10 am today amid cold wave in some parts of North India. At the same time, visibility was recorded at 100 meters in Palam area.

According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), there will be dense fog in Delhi, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab for the next 24 hours. After this improvement is estimated. However, it is expected to reduce from Thursday (January 12). The mercury was recorded at 6 degrees in Delhi at 5.30 am.
