In the next 24 to 48 hours, a warning has been issued for thunder and lightning in these areas along with lightning.


IMD Alert, Weather Update Today: The process of change in the country’s weather continues. Heavy rain warnings have been issued in many states. Heavy rain alert in West Bengal and Puducherry

Heavy rains in East India on 29, 30 and 31 August

According to the Meteorological Department, during the next 5 days, the monsoon trough is likely to remain north of its normal position in the foothills of the Himalayas. Due to which heavy rains can be seen in many states. Changes in the weather have been predicted in the capital Delhi including Punjab, Haryana. There is a line from southern interior Karnataka to the Comorin area. Due to which a warning of heavy rain has been issued in Assam and Meghalaya till September 1, while a warning of thunder and lightning has also been issued in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura between September 1 and 3. Orange Red Alert has been issued for this.

On the other hand, in East India, West Bengal and Sikkim will see heavy rains on August 29, 30 and 31, while warnings of additional heavy rain and lightning have been issued in different areas of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Yellow orange alert has also been issued for this.

Forecast of significant changes in weather

According to the Meteorological Department, a forecast of strong wind and lightning has also been issued at many places along with rain in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry Karaikal, Goa and Vidarbha on August 29 and 30. Now there may be a break in the rain activity for 5 days. Once again rain activity will be seen next week. Significant change in weather has been predicted in Bihar and Jharkhand from Sunday. At present, the pace of monsoon has slowed down in Bihar and Jharkhand. However, there will be a change in the weather once again from Sunday. Gradually the monsoon will return to its position. Along with this, an alert of heavy rain has been issued. Red Orange Alert has been issued in many areas since Sunday. Thunderstorm warnings have been issued. Not only this, a drop of 2 to 3% in temperature can be seen in some areas.

Heavy rains in 17 districts of Bihar from next week

Heavy rains are expected in 17 districts of Bihar from next week. On the other hand, there will be a decrease in rain activity in Jharkhand this week. The possibility of rain has been ruled out in many areas this week. However, there have been significant changes in the weather since Sunday. Also, more than 80% rainfall has been predicted. Heavy rain can be seen over the central and southern region including East Jharkhand.

Rain activities will stop in Himachal, Uttarakhand. However, a warning of heavy rain has been issued in the eastern region. There is a possibility of moderate rains in Uttarakhand and Himachal while heavy rains will be seen in Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur.
