According to the Indian Meteorological Department, a new Western Disturbance will be active on January 28, due to which the weather of many states is expected to worsen.
Today, an alert has been issued for rain in 12 states including MP-UP. Himachal Pradesh, Assam , Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura have been forecast for dense fog for the next 48 hours.
IMD Alert Today: Before February, there are fluctuations in the weather across the country. In many states of North India including South, rain and hailstorm are being seen with strong cold. In the last 24 hours, moderate to heavy rain occurred in many states with hailstorm at some places. The snowfall continues on the same mountains. According to the Meteorological Department, most parts of northwest India will see a drop of 3 to 5 degrees till January 28. After this, the temperature can increase by 3 to 5 degrees during two days. A drop of 2 to 4 degrees in temperature can be seen in Madhya Pradesh till January 28. There will be no change in the temperature in the areas of Maharashtra till January 29. Apart from this, heavy rains are expected in Uttarakhand on January 29 and 30 as well as snowfall in the higher reaches.
Dense fog alert in 11 states
According to the Meteorological Department, between January 28 and 30, rain activities will increase in the states of North West India. Rains will commence over the states of Northwest India from 28th and activities will pick up pace on 29th January. Dense to very dense fog is likely over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and cold wave over western parts of Rajasthan and far flung areas of Punjab. Apart from this, dense fog is forecast for the next 48 hours in Himachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
Know the condition of your state
- The rains are expected to continue in Madhya Pradesh till January 30. Today on Friday, there is a possibility of rain with thunder in 33 districts.
- An alert has been issued for rain in 75 districts of UP till January 30, Chhattisgarh will also remain cloudy for 3-4 days.
- The weather is expected to worsen in Himachal Pradesh from Saturday. Heavy rain-snow alert has been issued for Chamba, Kangra Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Lahaul-Spiti and Kinnaur districts on January 29 and 30.
- Delhi will witness partly cloudy sky on January 27 and rain activities can be seen from January 29 onwards.
- The weather is expected to remain clear in Jammu division on Friday, but snowfall is expected to continue in many areas till the 29th.
- The rainy season may start again in Rajasthan from January 28. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for these districts, anticipating rain and hailstorm in 13 districts including Jaipur. On January 29 also, rain and fog can be seen in many parts of the state due to the activation of Worston Disturbance.
