The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for dense fog for four days from Friday. During this time the maximum temperature will be around 19 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be around 08 degrees Celsius.

The rain that started late Wednesday night in the capital continued till Thursday morning. This has increased the chill. At the same time, people are also getting affected by fog. According to the Meteorological Department, an average of 3.9 mm of rain was recorded in Delhi till 8.30 am.

The highest rainfall was recorded in Palam center. 10.1 mm of rain was recorded here. At the same time, 9.7 mm rain was recorded in Ridge, 8 in Pusa, 5.5 in Aya Nagar, 4.5 in Mayur Vihar and 4.4 mm in Lodhi Road. During this time, the maximum temperature was recorded at 19.6 degrees and the minimum temperature was recorded at 10.3 degrees Celsius, 2.7 degrees above normal.

The morning at the Ridge was the coldest

On Thursday, there was waterlogging on the roads. Due to this, drivers as well as pedestrians had to face more problems. As the day progressed, the fog started to clear. After this, the sky became clear. Light sunshine came out during the day. In such a situation, people enjoyed the sun. However, the cold persisted even in the afternoon.

The visibility at Palam Airport was 700 meters from 9:30 am to 10:30 am and at Safdarjung, the visibility was 500 meters from 7 am to 8:30 am. Due to this, drivers had to face more problems. The morning at the Ridge was the coldest. The minimum temperature here was recorded at 9.1 degrees. At the same time, the minimum temperature was recorded at 9.5 degrees in Palam, 9.6 in Aya and 10.4 degrees Celsius in Lodhi Road.
