IMD Alert : A Western Disturbance and its induced cyclonic circulation will affect North India from March 30, causing heavy rain and thundershowers and possible snowfall in the higher reaches of the Western Himalayan region.


On March 31, hailstorm is expected in Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Sikkim. While a trough is extending from Marathwada across South Tamil Nadu to Telangana and Interior Karnataka, another trough is running from East Bihar across Jharkhand to South Chhattisgarh at 0.9 km above mean sea level.

IMD Alert, Today Weather Update: There are going to be significant changes in the weather in many states of the country. Rain warning has been issued in 12 states. As soon as the Western Disturbance becomes active, the weather is expected to change in Haryana, Punjab including the capital Delhi.

Apart from this, the process of rain will continue in the mountainous region as well. Due to a weather system being active in Bihar, Jharkhand, rain warning has been issued. Today it will be cloudy in Delhi Ghaziabad. Along with this, rain warning has been issued in the areas of Chhattisgarh.

Rain again in Haryana, Punjab

Western Disturbance is becoming active over the Himalayas. Due to which rain warning has been issued again in Haryana and Punjab. After recording the coldest March in 14 years, rain with strong winds is forecast from April 1. Change in weather is possible in Haryana Punjab. A drop of 5 degrees has been observed in the temperature.

The weather is feeling cool in the morning and evening with heat in the afternoon. Heavy rainfall has been recorded in many districts. Hailstorm has also been seen there. With the western disturbances becoming active once again, the weather is going to turn from Thursday. After the rain till April, a forecast of thunder and strong wind has been issued.

4 days of rain in the capital Delhi

The effect of Western Disturbance will be visible in the capital Delhi, rain has been predicted from Thursday to Sunday. Heavy rain warning has been issued in Delhi for 2 days. Rain alert in Rajasthan

The rain and snowfall continues in Himachal. Orange alert has been issued once again for 3 days. There is a possibility of thunderclap. Yellow alert has been issued regarding hailstorm and snowfall. Avalanche warning has been issued by the Meteorological Department while issuing a forecast that the weather will remain like this till April 2.

Rain possible in these areas

The Meteorological Department has issued a rain warning for Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Kerala and Tamil Nadu today. Apart from this, drizzle can be seen in some parts of Gujarat today. A rain warning has been issued in Arunachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
