IMD Alert, Weather Update Today: The weather of the country continues to change. The weather has changed once again with Monsoon becoming active in many states. Continuous rain warnings are being issued.


Meanwhile, heavy rain alert has been issued in Himachal, Uttarakhand, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh including Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Orissa and Andhra. Heavy rain warning has been issued for isolated parts of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh today.

According to the Meteorological Department, rain warnings have been issued in more than 30 districts of Uttar Pradesh today. Rain activity is going to continue over East and Central Uttar Pradesh. However, there will be a period of rain in western Uttar Pradesh. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has also issued a warning of heavy rain in Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal.

Thunderstorm warning in 30 districts of Bihar today

Thunderstorm warning has been issued in more than 30 districts of Bihar today. Along with this, due to the passing of the monsoon line through Jharkhand and West Bengal, the change in weather is going to continue in these areas as well. Heavy rain warning has been issued by the Meteorological Department in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra today. Heavy rain has been predicted in 10 to 12 areas of Maharashtra including Goa, Vidarbha. Heavy rain warning has been issued in 9 divisions of Madhya Pradesh today. At the same time, heavy rain has been predicted in Orissa and yellow alert has been issued in many areas of Bihar.

The rain continues in the southern state as well

The rain is going to continue in the southern state also. Andhra Pradesh including Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andaman Nicobar Islands will see rain activity for the next three to four days. A forecast has also been issued for strong winds in these areas. Winds can blow at a speed of 20 to 30 kilometers.

According to the preliminary forecast of the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain and thundershowers in some parts of Bokaro and Dhanbad during the next 1 to 3 hours. Apart from this, there is a possibility of rain with thunderstorm in Pakur, Gonda, Jamtara, Khunti, Ranchi. On September 7 and 8, thunderstorms can be seen at some places in the central part. Apart from this, warning of heavy rain has also been issued in the southern and central parts of Jharkhand.

Weather system

  • Talking about weather system, monsoon is active in Jharkhand. Due to the monsoon line passing through Jharkhand, its effect is also visible on Jharkhand.
  • The monsoon line is passing through Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Bhopal, Raipur, Puri and reaching East South East and West Central Bay of Bengal. Along with this, the western disturbance is being seen as a line of westerly wind. It is 5.8 km above sea water
    Also, a cyclonic circulation is over South Interior Orissa and adjoining areas over South Chhattisgarh and adjoining areas.

Thunderstorm warning in these states

  • According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, today an alert of heavy thunderstorm has been issued in many areas of Kolkata, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Apart from this, storm conditions may also arise in Uttarakhand and Himachal today.
  • In Eastern India, the rainy season will continue in Orissa, Bihar, Jharkhand from 7 to 10 September. Similarly, Andaman and Nicobar Islands will see rainfall activity till September 11, whereas in Central India, rainfall activity is going to continue in Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha till September 10.
  • Talking about Western India, Konkan, Goa, Central Maharashtra and Gujarat will see a period of rain between 8th and 11th September.
  • Whereas, conditions of rain and storm may arise in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh of South India on September 7, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karai Kal, Karnataka from September 8 to 11.
  • Assam, Meghalaya in North East India. Heavy rain alert has been issued in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura till September 11 while northwest Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand will see rain activity till September 10.
