According to the forecast made by the Meteorological Department for the next 5 days, there is a possibility of rain and snowfall in Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan.
IMD has said in its forecast that there may be rain in Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand between February 3 and 5. During this period, there is a possibility of light rain at isolated places in Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. According to the Meteorological Department, there is also a possibility of sporadic hailstorm in these areas. There is a possibility of rain in different areas of Rajasthan on 3 and 4 February.
According to the Meteorological Department, there will be scattered rainfall in Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur and Tripura for the next five days.
Warning of dense fog and cold
Dense to very dense fog is likely to persist in parts of Punjab and Haryana in the morning. At the same time, there is a possibility of dense fog in Chandigarh and Delhi on February 2. Today itself, dense to very dense fog is likely to prevail in different parts of Uttar Pradesh, North Rajasthan and North-Western Madhya Pradesh in the morning. The Meteorological Department has said that dense fog conditions are likely to persist for a few hours in the morning in different parts of Bihar during the next two days.
At the same time, the relief news given by the Meteorological Department is that there is a strong possibility of reduction in cold wave anywhere in the country. No significant change in minimum temperatures is likely over most parts of the country during the next 5 days. Minimum temperatures are likely to drop by 2-3 degrees Celsius over many parts of central and eastern India during the next 24 hours. There will be no significant change after that. There is no possibility of cold wave in any part of the country during the next 5 days.
