IMD issued an Alert: From April 26, there will be a big ups and downs in the weather in the areas of Delhi NCR. The Meteorological Department has once again issued an alert of strong thunderstorms in Delhi NCR.



These days the national capital Delhi is facing the wrath of the weather. This time the weather in the capital is very soft in April. Due to 45 percent more rain than normal, the temperature is continuously running below normal. According to the Meteorological Department, after two days there are chances of drizzle once again in the areas of Delhi NCR.

Meteorologists say that from April 26, a fresh Western Disturbance is going to knock over the Western Himalayas. Its effect will also be seen in the plains. There is no possibility of heat wave in any part of the country for the next seven days.

45 percent more rain than normal in April

By the way, the effect of Western Disturbance is being seen in the areas of Delhi NCR. Meteorological Department figures show that April has received 45 per cent more rainfall than normal so far. Delhi’s Safdarjung Meteorological Center receives a normal rainfall of 13.9 mm so far in April, but this time it has so far received 20.1 mm of rain, which is 45 per cent more than normal. Earlier in March also there was more rain than normal.

Nice weather

On the other hand, due to drizzle, both the maximum and minimum temperature of Delhi remained below normal. Delhi’s Safdarjung Observatory recorded a maximum day temperature of 34.5 degrees Celsius on Monday, which is three notches below normal. The minimum temperature was 19 degree Celsius, which is four notches below normal. The temperature is likely to remain below 40 degrees in April as well.

Fresh Western Disturbance will be active from 26th April

At the same time, the Meteorological Department says that during April 25-26, another western disturbance may knock over the western Himalayas. Due to this, snowfall or hailstorm can be seen in the higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir and Uttarakhand. Its effect will also be seen on the plains. The plains can see rain with thunderstorms from April 28.

By the way, the movement of clouds will be seen in the areas of Delhi NCR from Tuesday and Wednesday itself. This will not increase the temperature much. The Meteorological Department says that there are chances of drizzle in Delhi NCR after two days.

Rainy spell during April 26-28

According to the Meteorological Department, during April 26 to 28, light to moderate rain or snowfall will be seen in the western Himalayan region with thunder and lightning. Not only this, during April 27 to 28, there is a possibility of rain with thunder in the plains of North West India. At present, due to these weather activities, the air of Delhi has also remained continuously clean.

According to the Central Pollution Control Board, Delhi’s average air quality index stood at 160 on Monday. This level of wind is kept in the moderate category. SAFAR estimates that Delhi’s air quality will remain around this for now.
