According to IMD, there will be rain with thunderstorm in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts of Uttarakhand state. The weather is likely to remain dry in the state. No alert was issued for UP on 6 May. A Western Disturbance is being observed again on 7th May.

Western Disturbance

In the forecast released by IMD, a Western Disturbance is seen over West Iran. Due to which there may be rain and snowfall in the western Himalayan region and rain in the hilly areas in the coming few days. While a cyclonic circulation is present over Coastal Tamil Nadu.

Around May 6, a cyclonic circulation is expected to develop over southeast Bay of Bengal. Due to its effect, there is a possibility of formation of a low pressure area in the surrounding areas on 7th May. The possibility of turning into a cyclonic storm over Southeast Bay of Bengal has been expressed on May 8.
