Warning of heavy rain, storm and lightning in these areas till October 7

The Meteorological Department has predicted thunderstorms and lightning along with rain in Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Meghalaya, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh till October 7, while in Jharkhand, North Orissa, Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim, Andaman Nicobar till October 7. Red Orange alert of extremely heavy rain with thunderstorm and lightning has also been issued in Deep Group, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana.

Light snowfall may be seen in the hilly areas of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. A warning of light rain has also been issued in the surrounding area. With the onset of cold, severe cold has been predicted in these areas.
